Recently had CCR build me a custom rod to my requests and could not be happier with the results. Brett uses top quality components on his rods and puts pride in his craftsmanship and the prices are very reasonable for a custom rod. I had him build me a rod with the spiral wrap theme for jig fishing and I am confident that the spiral design gives me better flipping accuracy. The line flows thru the guides smoother and there is no line slap on the rod. I got to break this rod in at Jordan Lake in July at a club tournament and it was put the test. Won the tournament with a 5 fish limit weighing over 18lbs all caught on jigs in standing timber and the rod had the sensitivity to feel the bite and the strength to horse the fish out of the timber. Looking forward to Brett building me a spinnerbait rod next.

Check out one of Drew's reviews here:
I had Carolina Custom Rods build me a jig n worm rod, and I was thoroughly impressed! Brett even threw on the micro guides for better
casting and performance, and I know those things are a pain to wrap! The rod looks beautiful, and the work is crisp and clean. It fishes great too! It cast with ease from weightless senkos to
carolina rigged 10" worms and lizards....and it has the sensitivity to feel the slightest vibrations. You can feel everything from when your jig or plastic is crawling over rocks, or getting sucked
in by a lunker largemouth.
I will be definitely having Brett build me more in the future!

Greetings from the tropics,
I wanted to drop you a note and tell you how happy I am with the snook rod that you made me. I’m super impressed with the quality of the rod and especially the Costa Rican flag that you included in the wraps. I had a lot of trouble finding the right rod, but you definitely put it together. I described to you what I wanted, a two-piece travel rod that was long enough to cast rapalas from the beach, but was not too bulky and heavy.
You got it right!!!!
Many, many thanks, we’re having snook for dinner.
All the best,
Capt. George Beckwith
